ABOUT EASA
ABOUT EASA
The Eurasian Skydiving Association (EASA) is an international organization dedicated to strengthening and developing international relations in skydiving.
EASA was established in 2023. Its members are some countries in Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

But this geography is not the limit, and the EASA leadership is working to expand its influence and spread the idea of clean and honest sports without the influence of politics in the world.
As a first step towards such global cooperation, the 1st International Skydiving 16-way Double-Event, the first International hybrid skydiving event among 16-way teams, was held in the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) in January 2024.
The idea of the competition was born out of an obvious contradiction: there are dozens of teams in the world training and performing in this discipline — Formation Skydiving 16-way, but there is not a single official event (or even ratified rules) held under the auspices of the international skydiving organisations. Therefore, EASA has set the task to take under its wing this interesting and untapped stratum of international athletes.
In addition, the highlight of the competition is not only in the discipline itself, but also in a hybrid format: the event was held both in the sky and in the wind tunnel. The winners were awarded both in indoor and outdoor, as well as in the overall standings — based on the total points in the two disciplines. Events of this format have not yet been held at the official level in the world.

A new fresh start with a renew event
The success of the event did not go unnoticed: the organizers of the event received warm feedback from athletes and many requests from teams from other countries to participate in the competitions next year. In response, it was decided to hold a second such competition at the same venues in 2025.

In 2025, the event also took place, and its program became more expanded and included competitions in other disciplines.

The policy in selecting disciplines and directions has remained the same: events are held in those disciplines that are not officially listed in the register of the international skydiving organisations, which means there is no competitive environment between them and EASA. In addition, completely new innovative formats are being developed and invented, which cannot but attract with their freshness.

In total, 3 events were held within the framework of the competition in different disciplines. The 16-way has certainly been preserved. 8-way teams were added to them in Formation Skydiving, but only in the format of flights in an wind tunnel.

An innovative event is a competition in a wind tunnel in the racing format — The Race. The rules of the discipline were developed specifically for the event. The entertainment and dynamism of the discipline attracted more than 40 participants and hundreds of fans all around the world.

Also, one of the events will be competitions in XRW (Extreme Relative Work) — joint flights of wingsuits and skydivers on the "wing".
It is already obvious that the future lies behind such unusual and visually stunning competitive formats, and the niche that the new EASA is happy and confident to close has great potential.
It is important that in 2024 the event was held in a test format, and starting in 2025 it will be held under the official auspices of the EAF (Emirates Aerosports Federation) and the Sport Council of Abu Dhabi, taking a place in the country’s sports calendar.
